Not to take this too off track, I just built a 2 brick forge to try my own HT. Mokugame is also on the try list. Raindrop pattern anyone?

Re: Show us your new handle
About 5 years ago Mark Farley gave me this ugly piece of unstabilized wood and said I had to wait two years to use it. It was really dull and frankly not very enticing to mess with. I got bored and decided to finally cut into it and wow...guess I learned my lesson.
Austrailian Horistess with musk ox and copper ferrule (puppy clearly thinking it looks a lot like a beef stick, tried to crop it in imgur but apparently cant figure it out.)

Oh, very nice handle too.
You can blame Mr. Suburban for my being here.

My newly re-handled Masamoto KS 240mm, courtesy of the immensely talented Joe Morrone [aka Jobone] . . .
Amboyna > Nickle > Musk Ox > Nickle, (lighter color) Amboyna
Just stunning work.
Action Shot
Dinner prep. So glad that with the D handle removed -- and this glorious new handle installed -- I can put this knife into my regular rotation.

Re: Show us your new handle
I took the plunge and got a few new handles recently. Sadly usps screwed up and sent them back once so one knife got tipped slightly in the 4 part 12,000 round trip mile trip from Sacramento to North Carolina back to sac, back to NC and finally back to sac again.
These are from Jobone and a fine job he did. I dont remember what they are made of...
I guess I should add the top one is a Toyama 210 and the bottom Anyru B#2 210. In my humble opinion you cant go wrong with either of these!

Harukaze 210mm G3 with stabilized snakeskin sycamore handle and ivory Micarta spacer. The wa handle it came with is actually pretty nice, but a touch small for my tastes.
