since i had posted in the steak knife thread i might as well post the monster steak plates i made a while back these are 14" and the ownerr send me a picture of one loaded make note the steak knife blade is just about 4.5 inch long in the picture

You are so right Sir Jeff! I'd probably cringe at the price, not that they wouldn't be worth it. Hmm, maybe I'll go dig out all the Myrtlewood plates and platters I've bought over the years at estate sales and refinish them to use as steak plates. :idea:

my wood lathe is not set up right now house was sold and my shop belongs to another. im in much smaller temp shop as we fix up the house we got and im hopping maybe next fall i can start setting up a new bigger work shop

dont make many saya but my sister needed one cause her knife will live in a RV bouncing around down the road. asked her if she wanted me to dye it she said have fun

had an order for a lefty single bevel. XHP blade copper fittings dont remember the name of the dark wood spacer but the main handle is curly koa
