A local friend from the old CKTG forum reached out about rehandling a 180mm Watanabe nakiri recently. He had some spalted stabilized wood from years ago and wanted something blue as the spacer. I also removed the chestnut handle, cut off the plastic ferrule and installed a faux horn ferrule so he could use that one on another knife.
The blue is some of the blue camo material I made and I think it goes really nicely with the blade and the lighter golden spalted handle!

Excellent blade and a handle to match. As the young uns say “ I’m jelly “.
The pig is a magical animal. It takes vegetables and turns them into bacon.

Thanks! The Nakiri has a beefier solid feel to it, which is different from most other laser nakiri.

Thanks! The wood really took on a nice golden color once I started adding layers of Tung Oil to it.
