Hey Tim -- can you please re-send me the PM? For some odd reason, I'm not able to access it. Thanks!

It was just the pictures. If you have over 300 pm's, it puts new ones on hold until you delete or move some.

So, has the person been back who got you started on the project Mr. 575? I think it was a spammer pushing a pizza place in NYC a couple of years back.

Going to stick to pizza cutters for now...lol. The Damascus Cork screw is doable, but you wouldn't see much pattern due to the small diameter of the corkscrew itself. I can get premade stainless corkscrews and do custom handles for them though!

Been looking for more wide damascus billets between 3/32" and 1/8", but there haven't been many in those thinner stock from Alabama Damascus lately. Next steel order, I am getting some 3/32" and 1/8" AEB-L in 4" wide bars. I can fingernail polish over the disc, use something to scrape off the nail polish and do a faux damascus look, but in a stainless disc. Or use the CriCut to print out a stencil to put over the disc when etching.

I am looking at some other modifications, like going to a single leg design that would more easily accommodate different wheel sizes and make removing the wheel easier and Tig welding the stainless pieces (leg, guard, tang) together.

What made me think of it was the twisting done during forging as seen in this video...

That reminds me, I still gotta make a double handed wrench for twisting when I get to work with the cable I have here! And I need to weld up a tray for my forge so the borax flux doesn't kill my refractory. Too many projects!!
