Thank y'all. We had fun.
I expected to do something like a quick chicken sandwich, but pasta was requested and I'm always down.

ex1580 wrote: Tue Oct 15, 2024 7:10 pm I'm not sure you would call this cooking but there was definitely some cutting involved. I used my Ogata SG2 gyuto. There are Asian pears and cranberries hiding in there! I had a can of mackerel and an avocado with it. The dressing was a somewhat fruity vinaigrette made with a nice olive oil, apple cider vinegar, mustard, dill, and a pinch of salt.
I would say that salad is legitimate cooking, no?

eggs cooked low and stirred at a medium speed.
The faster you stir the more creamy texture like the egg will be.

Used the exact same Thai-style marinade I used here overnight on some chicken thighs, then patted them dry, oiled them lightly, seasoned them up and grilled them . . .

Plated Up
With some glazed/broiled eggplant (ingredients here) and some leftover/reheated basmati rice with a knob of salted butter.

Forgot how much I enjoy this marinade. Have to try to remember to use it more often.

Ronnie, I was very, very bored last night with the selection on the old satellite dish and went channel surfing to QVC. They were selling stuffed ravioli that was pre-package but the chef? was there with it all out on display and cooked. I just shook my head and thought "If only Ronnie was running this gig (camera work/cooking), they'd sell a whole lot more." lol.
