I can't imagine your loss. Moments like this can't be covered by words.
Remember to take care of yourself, she'd want you to.

Such a brilliant, timely and tender quote. Well done when it's needed the most!!jmcnelly85 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 15, 2021 1:49 pm “The call of death is a call of love. Death can be sweet if we answer it in the affirmative, if we accept it as one of the great eternal forms of life and transformation.”

Lovely lady, with a great style.
You can blame Mr. Suburban for my being here.

I'd like to say a few words about Mani. I only met her a relatively short time ago. Yet from the first day i felt that she was special. I saw her in my mind's eye as this beautiful Indian woman, smart, energetic and creative. When I saw the video I said, yup, there she is, just like she sounded! She gave off an aura in her voice, her presence, even over the phone. She had grace, imagination and as Ken said to me, a style all her own. So I say to this woman, you may be gone but you will never be forgotten, you live on in Ken's heart and in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.

Re: My wife passed away on 7/12/2021
Well I did say I'd revise this later. Here's what I wrote up for her obituary:
I just submitted my wife's obituary which will come out in about a week. Here it is including a picture.
My wife of 25 years passed away on July 12 2021 from complications from her hip replacement and progressive osteoporosis at the age of 76. She was born in India. Her twin sister Meher passed away but her husband, Rumi and their son, Phiroze survive. Mani and I met through her hairdresser. It was love at first sight and always remained so. Mani was a flight attendant for 30 years with Continental and United Airlines. She spoke English and French fluently as well as Spanish, Hindi and several other languages. She had a masters degree in fine arts. She made jewelry, sewed, modelled and made my life a joy to live.

Re: My wife passed away on 7/12/2021
Perhaps the last posting. I finally got an urn to put her ashes into assuring her a dignified container. It contains her birth and death date and a short but fitting quote. I'll post some pictures.
This is a sad posting as it represents a final resting place for a marriage of 25 years and an additional 5 years of getting to know each other.

It is with great sadness that I express my condolences once again , it is a fitting resting place for a fine lady who lived a life of dignity, respect, creativity and class all her days. It's a beautiful urn, rest in peace Mani!

For what it's worth I was able to get the entire contents of her sealed bag of ashes into the urn. Yes a practical matter, but she seems at peace for now. My thanks to Tulip Cremation for their fine work including their [times Roman] engraving -"she made my life a joy to live"

Re: My wife passed away on 7/12/2021
Just saw this thread for the first time today, Ken, and I wanted to share my condolences. It is obvious you have infinite positive, motivating memories of your wife that will allow her to live on as the love of your life. As sorry as I am for your loss, I'm grateful that your memories together will live on as a beacon for you. May these shared memories continue to make your life joyful as time allows.
