SOLD - Konosuke and Takeda

It's been a while but it's good to be back on the CKTG forums. Browsing for Christmas I realized I had some goodies that I could sell to fuel more purchases. I bought these two knives quite some time ago when I was amassing a collection of J-knives. These never made it into use, and are *new in box* waiting patiently for the next owner

1. Konosuke Fujiyama W1 Yanagiba 330mm blade and ebony/buffalo handle. I got this beauty years ago from Mark as a blade only and purchased a matching handle so I could have the ultimate slicer. $700 obo + shipping/fees.

2. Takeda AS Super Yanagi, 300mm. Nothing like a Takeda, I just love the way the wrought iron cladding sharpens and sought this one out specially. $500 obo + shipping/fees.

These knives speak for themselves but please let me know if you need more pictures or have questions.

Neither knife has been sharpened or used (other than on a piece of paper to check the edge). These are brand new, in the box. Also I forgot to mention, no trades please. Looking for a cash sale! Thanks!

Does Takeda make a 300mm yanagiba? I can only find 270 as their longest and the picture looks to be closer to 240mm

Seller tells us 300 and it's right there on Takeda Hamono.

Takeda sold! The Konosuke is still available. I took a look at my notes and I got it from CKTG in 2016 as a blade only as part of an overstock (lol!) batch. It's my understanding that Konosuke (at least used to) only have certain blades in the US. So I think this one is hard to come by... it's forged by Tanaka and sharpened by Morihiro. It's as awesome as you would imagine of a Fujiyama Yanagiba. It's new, never sharpened, just occasionally oiled and admired. Just a bit too long for my kitchen and I'm starting to prefer sujis now anyway. I'm also open to selling the blade without handle for $600.

Well, my knife collecting is picking up steam again and I just got a Tanaka Damascus gyuto. So... another price drop on the yanagi to $575 with handle.
