The Addict Lives
I miss my old Richmond Addict. There's just not that many tall gyutos with that shape on the website that has some heft and nice height.
So.... I went and had a prototype made with our guy that makes the Kohetsu Blue #2 Nashiji line and I just got the prototype from him.

Re: The Addict Lives
Tease! When will it be offered? Estimated price point? Will there be enough intially offered so it doesn't sell out in 5 minutes, or a day? Enquiring minds want to know.
You can blame Mr. Suburban for my being here.

Re: The Addict Lives
I have to approve of the prototype and then order them. Wild guess is 90 days.
Price with a walnut handle like the other ones on the site should come in at about $200.

That's the prototype, it's obviously going to be clad.

I love that idea Bob. If you one of you guys organizes it I'll be happy to slap a handle on it and send it out.

These are blue #2 on the edge and they're stainless clad with a nashiji finish. Grinds are more or less even on each side. They'll be part of this line:

I placed an order for them today so we're on the clock. Hopefully, we'll get them by the end of the year.

See if it can stop at Steve Gamash(sp?) for one of his videos.ChefKnivesToGo wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 8:30 amI love that idea Bob. If you one of you guys organizes it I'll be happy to slap a handle on it and send it out.
Is there a place holder for it, where we can input our email address for when it arrives?

I'll put a page up today so you guys can get notified when they're in. I'm also going to do an introductory sale on them for early adopters.
