I figured out an improvement in my metal spacer handles. Meaning I can charge less…
These two were my test cases and are available.
What color should I anodize the titanium spacers?

Those are lovely. I especially like the one on the right.
You can blame Mr. Suburban for my being here.

Hi Ben. So back about a million years ago when I was fooling around with modding cars, one of the cool effects we learned for titanium exhaust tips was --- they turned blue with heat.
Probably not the way I'd go on the two samples you showed but I still find that a really neat visual.

That’s definitely cool! I really like the idea of the organic color change. I can’t heat anodize these spacers when they are installed on a handle and sanded flush. I can electro anodize to many different colors. It’s a fairly simple processes.Robstreperous wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 5:51 amHi Ben. I like Rob's suggestion of blue, as I find the blue and orange complementary appealing.

I kinda like them as-is! I can imagine how different colours could be really cool depending on the surrounding materials. In the cases above, I like that the colour is both silver and bronze, which goes well with all of the mixture of red and orange (as I see it on my screen).

Start off easy. Just use 9 v batteries. Baking soda or tsp as electrolytes for color. Manganese for black.
