Some newer stuff

Post by taz575 »

I tried some Blue #2 steel, but it didnt harden again; the edge was baconing as I was grinding it ☹️ Thickened up the edge to try it again and it bacon edged very bad, so thats one blade scrapped😡

Got an order for an oyster shucker from a premade blank. Guy wanted a paring knife to match and ordered a matching fillet knife today, all using the same block of orange/green handle material I made with fabrics and epoxy.

Here are the oyster and paring knives:

1/16" magnacut 4" boning/trimming blade with extra long guard and Ironwood handles requested by a buddy for processing game. People want extra long guards when dealing with game animals so their hand doesn't slip onto the blade.
