Wow, look what has come in
I just looked at new arrivals and wow, some Konosuke HD2 Gyutos, 210 and 240, various handles,
Anryu Kurouchi Damascus Gyuto 210mm, Santoku (165mm), Bunka (165mm),
Nisaku Hori Hori Garden Knife (I asked for hori hori knives last year I think it was),
Shizu Hamono Bread Knife (only $29.95),
Shizu Hamono Pizza Cutter (only $19.95),
Tojiro R2 Powdered Steel Gyuto 300mm (only one left at $330),
and much more!

This one's pretty cool too, Xexo.

I do like the longer santokus and bunkas and this one's got a really nice tip for it's DNA.

I don't think I've ever seen a Konosuke nakiri. Even though I'm not a huge nakiri guy, when I saw these today I just about plotzed. I do have a Konosuke nakiri in W2 that I bought used a few years ago . . .TheLegalRazor wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 9:08 pmI don't think I've ever seen a Konosuke nakiri. Konosuke W2, Monosteel Nakiri, 165mm (November, 2020)
That one came to me in less than ideal condition. Mark fixed it up for me -- rehandle, etc. -- but even so, these new ones seem very special, so I couldn't resist. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Back around 2012 you could buy a Kono Fujiyama Nikiri for something like $250.....the good old days.....

Re: Wow, look what has come in
That's a nice nakiri, Ronnie. I didn't know Konosuke had released knives in W2 monosteel. I think there would be demand for Konosuke W2 monosteel today. The W2 monosteel knives from Ashi Hamono consistently sell out.ronnie_suburban wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:24 pmEven though I'm not a huge nakiri guy, when I saw these today I just about plotzed. Re: Wow, look what has come in
Mark used to carry a whole line of Konosuke W#2 monosteel knives. The HD2 line was a lot more popular so the W#2 line was discontinued in 2015 to concentrate more on the HD2. I have a 210mm petty and the 300mm suji from the W#2 line and love them both, they were excellent knives but just very overshadowed by the HD2.TheLegalRazor wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 11:40 am ...That's a nice nakiri, Ronnie. Thanks for this information, Jeff. I like W2 monosteel and missed out on this Konosuke line.Jeff B wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 12:17 pmMark used to carry a whole line of Konosuke W#2 monosteel knives. I got mine! I went Magnolia handle for a change. I figured light blade, light handle. Only one with this handle left.Bob Z wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 7:38 pm Being a Nakiri freak, in all my years on this site there has never been a Konosuke nakiri offering, and today HD2 is available in 3 different handles! I didn't see it in the new arrivals, but the Shibata AS Santoku 170mm is the only one I see in stock. Still, trying to be on a knife diet. So sad.
