2022 knives
I started off the year with an Deba-esque full tang blade in AEBL and African Bubinga. This blade has fullers ground on each side.

Here is the first assassin petty I have done in M390 steel. Also has a musk ox horn ferrule and rosewood burl.
I finished this handle with tru oil.

This past Saturday I rough ground an 8-1/2" Chef knife in mono steel 26c3 aka "spicy white" steel.
It is a hefty 3.5mm thick at the ferrule with a full distal taper. The blade is also ground with fullers and the chamfer on the spine.
I also included a choil shot, this is been pretty standard on the last several knives I've made.

Re: 2022 knives
I spent this past weekend at a slip joint class with Chuck Gedraitis @ Dragons Breath Forge in Wolcott, CT.
It was a fun few days and a great change of pace from kitchen knives. We learned basic construction and built a knife from raw materials to finished knife.

Re: 2022 knives
Thanks, the spicy white is getting the handle finished this week. Went with Musk ox ferrule and nice cocobolo handle.
Getting ready to finish up this one as well: "Baby Chef" , Ive made one of these for a friends' wife and they liked it so much. I have to admit I myself enjoy using it, there is just so many quick cutting tasks where I really dont want to bother with a full size chef...The picture here is something I posted on my IG page testing the grind out on some apples. You can dig/scoop/torque and otherwise "Abuse" this blade grind. Its not unbreakable but its pretty darn sturdy. It still slice and dice pretty good too. I am handling it with some rubberized carbon fiber for a cool look and grippy feel.
Also have finished one of those stainless clad white#1 core blades Mark offered a while back. I regrind my own profile and ended up completely grinding off the entire "forged" finish

Re: 2022 knives
I'm a big fan of your fuller ground knives Tim. That 180 assassin you made me. (Shot from February 14 above) is as close to the perfect utility as I've been able to find. Love using it.

Re: 2022 knives
Thanks Rob! Here's a new little photo dump. It is apple season, I peeled, cored and sliced around 100 apples. I compared a few different knives side by side. Those fullers definitely help with the "stick" factor.
Heres a pic of the finished white#1 core blades

Re: 2022 knives
Wow, ok its a whole new thing trying to manage this short format video sharing stuff...unreal, but I think I got it.
I have 3 carbon steel lasers coming up shortly. Also have this work horse getting finished up this week, musk ox ferrule and cocobolo.
All of them mono 26c3 carbon steel aka "spicy white"
Full distal tapers, convexed bevels with hollow ground fullers as well. All of these will be available.

Well, video has been removed by the uploader. In other words, nothing to see here.
Edited to Add: And now it is back! Something to see here now.
