You mean the machi gap, right? I think I'm just confused what's the machi.
I think thats what it means, I dont want the "gap"

I'm afraid it can take a long time (around a year..) to prepare.. but we'll do our best!

I get how people can think that the machi gap can look like a defect as I was thinking the same thing from looking at photos. I can assure you that when you get one of these knives in your hands nothing about it looks like a defect. The photos don't do it justice. The Fuji FM I got from the last drop is exceptional. It screams quality and performs as good as it looks. An absolute joy to use.

I really like the look of a machi gap! Looks very distinguished!

I wonder if we should remove the Kaiju until further notice? We can always put the pages back on later if you do make more.

Sometimes it's nice to be able to see some of the out of stock items to maybe add them to a wish list or for research purposes. I know it sucks when I read about an item on the forum and look it up only to directed back to the main page. I don't mind too much if an expensive item is out of stock as it gives me time to plan for the purchase instead of it having to be an impulse buy. Whether you remove the page or not I suspect should depend on how many inquiries you're getting about when they'll be back in stock and if you're willing to deal with those.

You could always add a note stating that it might be a very long time before they are available again. Not sure this is any better than removing the page but it would let people know to not keep checking the page looking for it to be back in stock. This way they know that they might have some time to purchase something else before revisiting it.

Just my thoughts which are likely worth what you paid for them.

Well said. I've tried to look up knives I bought here, only to find their pages are now gone. Frustrating. Maybe rather than deleting the page, a dated note could be placed saying the chances of it ever being instock again are slim to none. Maybe turn off the notification for the knife.

Just curious if any SKD Tsuchime gyutos are in production. Thanks!

Those don’t look like the original one I purchased when they first came out.

Reckon you got the first iteration before they made an aesthetic change around this time?

I just want to see SOMETHING from Konosuke. It's been a long time since I've had a Konosuke fix!
