Looks like CKTG has Yoshikane connection going on (SWEET!). These are incredible knives- great steel, fit and finish, awesome grind. They're thickish out of handle and taper pretty quickly. I guess they're middle weight knives. Very thin behind the edge and amazing cutters. You know they know their stuff when Konosuke has at least a couple of lines made by them. Full disclosure- I'm pretty Yoshi heavy- 240 x3, ktip 210, hakata, bunka, petty.

There's one thing- the profile is really flat, so if you're into big curves for rocking- maybe not for you. it could be worth a try

Re: Yoshikane in the house!
Many of us remember the stainless-clad Yahiko (CKTG house brand) in W#2. The profile was rather unmistakable. Really quite the knivesMiles wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 4:33 pm Looks like CKTG has Yoshikane connection going on (SWEET!). These are incredible knives- great steel, fit and finish, awesome grind. This I cannot say for sure. I can't quite recall what the buzz around here was regarding the ICE, except that it had received VERY high praise, and being compared to Shibata's lasers.
Here's another of the video's of the line I was thinking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V83Eb3Vs5Dk

Re: Yoshikane in the house!
I’ve got the Ice and another Yoshikane sold under the Yahiko brand. Looks very similar in profile to the SKD but is white steel. Dan used on a pass around. One of my favorite knives. I just bought a custom handle for it. On the flatter side, takes a great edge.
The Ice is a lot different. Laserish, with a more balanced profile. Great looker. Frosted blade is a beauty. Apparently they were hard to make and not a lot were made and sold. Perhaps less than a half dozen.
I used both of them the other day. Needless to say neither will leave my stable.

Re: Yoshikane in the house!
Was ice made by yoshikane? I was literally thinking about the ice the other day... it is single hand the knife I regret selling the most. Haven’t felt a knife quite like it since. I can’t explain it.. dimensions, white steel, but felt sturdy and confident but not quite thick like Sanjo. Actually in the market for a 210 trying to find something that mimicked that ice feeling I had. Think yoshikane 210 is good starting place?
