Put a take off handle on it to try it out:

Cut up some cauliflower with it. A little drag from the acid etch, but its a laser!!

Thanks!

These are interesting to work on. They are thin and flex a good bit when you get down thin behind the edge and have some Japanese Wabi Sabi to them since they are forged, raw blanks.

It depends, are you trying to make it invisible? :geek:

Excellent work, Taz575. It doesn't get any thinner and precise than that! Well done!

I was worried it was going to be too thin, but it's held up so far! Had almost 40 hours of OT this week, so haven't gotten to do any more work to this funayuki yet :(

I got to use it on some peppers, onions and stuff like that a bit more, working well, edge holding it better than I am used to in other White blades I have/had. I am using a cheapy poly board and no micro chips yet! I did a 600 grit hand rub finish on it and etched it and it looks much better now. It has a glossy look to it despite being etched, so sharpening and testing is up next, along with a handle for it. I think I am going to use a chunk of my latest carbon fiber burl to see how it looks void wise after getting a new mold made up! With the hand finish, the core/cladding is more distinctive.
