Marko Tsourkan Knives
Marko and I have been communicating on and off for the better part of the last 2 years and he's about to do a line for us. He and I chose A2 steel for something unique to the site and we'll be doing a line of knives using that steel. He's been working on tweaking the heat treat for these and told me he's got them dialed in so they should sharpen well and hold an edge better than most knives on the site.
For those of you that are ignorant about his stuff be ready. I'm going to do a passaround with one of them so if you're interested, have never used one of his knives, and buy regularly from me I'll be happy to add you to the pass around for a brief trial. I'll do a separate post for that after we get started. He's meticulous about his work and I'm excited and hoping that his knives will class up our selection a little. I also think we can introduce him to a little wider audience than he currently has. Should be fun.

Big +1. Glad to hear this Mark. Carrying more North American makers is a good thing in my book.

You are a mind reader.
I've been really eyeing his knives after seeing that one that was posted in the classifieds awhile back.
I like his nakiri shape and the gyuto I've seen here and there on the web.
Between the Konosuke blue #2 I'm getting, the upcoming Shibata Kashima and potentially this I'm never gonna get around to upgrading my sharping stones......lol.

Re: Marko Tsourkan Knives
I've wanted to try one of Marko's knives for a long time. Have heard nothing but hi praise about his work!
If God wanted me to be a vegetarian he wouldn't have made animals taste so good.
Re: Marko Tsourkan Knives
He definately has a unique and attractive style. The honsuki is of particular interest to me as well as perhaps a 270-ish gyuto.
Re: Marko Tsourkan Knives
The gyuto I tried in 52100 was excellent. Count me in for trying the A2 offering!

Re: Marko Tsourkan Knives
Not positive about the price but they're not even close to a grand. Closer to a third of that I think depending on the size.

Re: Marko Tsourkan Knives
That is well under my typical, self imposed, $500 threshold for knives. I like smaller knives too so that saves some cash. I see that he does 180 Gyutos too. I did some further research.ChefKnivesToGo wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 5:13 pmNot positive about the price but they're not even close to a grand. Closer to a third of that I think depending on the size.
