Hey folks if you're looking for that high HRC, fancy PM steel- CKTG has sukenari HAP40s in. I bought one somewhat recently (the CTKG ones have a different handle) and dig it. it's a midweight, kind of thick laser with a nice convex grind. These are assertive cutters that have some weight behind them. This hairline series has a very understated look, which is deceptive as it really sings when you put it on the board. It uses "Voodoo steel" known for edge retention and toughness (plenty of posts on the benefits of the steel). it gets a patina on the core steel (semi-stainless), which gives nice contrast with the cladding. Fantastic fit and finish.

Re: Sukenari HAP40
I too enjoy reading peoples write ups as well. Haven’t been as many this year for whatever reason.
FWIW (4mo in) this knifes edge retention is really amazing. I bought it just to see the hype and it’s sweet. The initial prickly edge doesn’t last that long but the serviceable edge seems to last forever.
