Not sure if these are a new arrival or not, but AS, stainless ku cladding, look nice. Any experience or comparison with these by anyone? Cheers!

A little while back there was a "seconds" santoko of the same line...

They look nice, and the price is light and easy. The perks of a larger factory?

I bought one of the santoku seconds and really dug it. I wound up giving it away as a gift, but I have a feeling this is a good knife as well.

I am a Harukase fan. I've used a couple of them for testing and they are an excellent knife for those on a budget or just a good bang for the buck if it fits your needs. I recommend them a lot, they punch much higher than their price point.

In this pass around last year viewtopic.php?f=15&t=7262
CacahuateSommelier included a 240 Harukaze AS https://www.chefknivestogo.com/haas24wagy.html as a bonus knife.
With a spine thickness of only 2.1mm it clocked in as a laser to me, and i bet this new Morado is very similar in performance (which i thought was good).
I'm kind of interested in the new Ginsan just out, looks like a great deal on a stainless back up knife.

Re: Harukaze AS Morado
I have the santoku in this finish. It is a great line knife. Takes a fantastic edge & looks really nice. I get tons of compliments on it. I am sure this gyuto is just as nice. I was deciding between this & the g3 240 & went with the g3, since I didn't own any blades in that steel. If these are still around I might pick one up.
Re: Harukaze AS Morado
These are the same as the hitohira "futana sb kuro" line. Even has the same Kanji on the left side of blade. Cool to see that Mark sells them for $50 cheaper and actually has them in stock. They look like nice knives - the website demo one has a pretty gosh darn nice looking grind from the pic, especially considering the price.
