Thanks for your input. I realize I need to go to neighbor and ask more questions to narrow my search. No sense getten him a tool he doesn't want or plan to use.

Need a knife for a neighbor who is a hunter. No quality knife for dressing a deer out. Narrowed search down to a boning knife or a 180 gyuto. Gyuto allows for larger range of cutting options beyond dressing deer ? Unkown ablitiy of neighbor using knife. Thanks !

Thanks. Kanehide PS-60 had what I was looken for & within budget. I have found them to be amazing when preping fruits & veggies. I prep once or twice a week & put meals in the fridge. These knives are way beyond anything I own.
