Re: Show us your new knife!
A new recent addition, the CCK KF 1912 small stainless cleaver, bought from CKTG ... because I had a terrible itch to play with something new.
It's pretty great, can totally see how it can be a one knife solution, somehow food release still ok-ish, considering it's big and flat. Infinite scoop power. Gets shocking sharp. Nimble for the size, but it's pretty light as far as cleavers go.

Hatsukokoro Aogami Super 180mm Bunka. Tsuchime Nashiji Damascus Mirror Polish lol. Somehow I think they work well together in this case!

My Dream Yoshikane arrived, the Darker finish looks more like YS-M(midnight), it looks stunning in person, feels much lighter and thinner than the White 2 Hamono yoshikane I had long time ago, this one feels like a better performer the moment I touched it, can’t wait to test this beauty in the kitchen

Awesome blade but how does one know that they even offer such a blade? I mean there is no placeholder on the store site that I'm aware of and I've never seen any write up's of Konosuke offering Damascus.

I think you are looking for this this page.
You might want to read this thread everyday, just to keep up. It is currently just 95 "pages" long. Go to 90 or so and read from there to the end. Then go back and read the rest, if you like.
You can blame Mr. Suburban for my being here.

I'm up to date with the Kosuke updates and the link to the Damascus is a new link that was added when they appeared in the store. Yes I'm aware of them now! Thanks for the response.XexoX wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 9:20 pmI think you are looking for this this page.

Re: Show us your new knife!
It was just a matter of being around long enough to have seen them in the past on different sights. I started trying to get one a few years ago but that was a time when so many unicorns had disappeared. I came close to getting one once a couple years ago on another sight but just missed. I thought Mark had a few in the past too but I honestly don't remember.

Re: Show us your new knife!
Glad you got one Jeff. I am waiting for the Kaiju and told my wife that I wouldn't buy anymore if I get one. I am 76 after all and I can only use one at a timeJeff B wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 9:39 pmIt was just a matter of being around long enough to have seen them in the past on different sights. Good luck I hope you get one! I'd probably give it a try but I've blown my money and knife forgiveness with the wife for awhile.jacko9 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 9:48 pmGlad you got one Jeff. I saw that Damascus when Mark mentioned it in the konosuke update before it was up for sale. So you just have to be mentally prepared and quick if you decide to snag it. Those extremely rare ones can be gone in less than a minute.
