October Donations

Post by ChefKnivesToGo »

Here is the first one for $250. Nate works for World Central Kitchen and he's started a side effort to provide food for all the pets that have been abandoned in parts of Ukrane.

He and his team came up with an easy-to-make gravity tube feeder and then he goes around and fills them daily.

Here is the second donation to a local charity here in Madison called Mentoring Positives. One of their successful programs is to teach disadvantaged high school kids how to work in commercial kitchens by running a small business that sells salsa to area grocery stores. That's how we met several of the kids that are involved in the program. We're giving them $250 today as a first donation (besides buying their salsa).

Their mission statement:

Mentoring Positives is committed to building strong, trusting relationships, positive attitudes, and life skills in youth through mentoring and social entrepreneurship.
