Afzelia xylay? Kinda has the gator skin pattern. Cool looking.

Keeping up the burnt Osage orange - I like keeping many of these all wood, I think they appeal to the practical minded knife aficionados

Such good work! For sure going to have to commission something soon. Not sure for which knife but I’m thinking Birdseye maple, something blueish, maybe turquoise, for the spacer, and a darker ferrule with some character like chatoyance. I used to have a really nice 1911 with custom Birdseye maple grips and I miss it so much!
