Re: Typographical errors on the site.
It might look like it but it is really just my small contribution to the community here. Mark has built a site with a lot of great information and the forums contain a huge amount of helpful advice. For now I feel it is better to leave the advice giving to those with more experience. But I can read so if I notice something while looking for my next knife I can take a moment to post it here.

Keep doing it. You'll take the pressure off the other guys who've been editing me for years.
Re: Typographical errors on the site.
It is not a typo but I was looking at the Imanishi stones and noticed that the Suehiro Rika 5k appears in this list. It is also listed with the Bester Stones. Fortunately it does show up as expected in the Suehiro stones group.

Hi Mark,
Under the Takayuki Ginsan Wa page, you have the title repeat how nice the handle and horn ferule are;
These Takayuki Ginsan Wa Gyutos have ebony wood handles and water buffalo horn ferrule. This is an excellent line that Takayuki has come out with has a very nice, octagonal ebony handle and water buffalo horn ferrule...

No biggie, but it's there.
Who makes these, anyway?

Re: Typographical errors on the site.
Nice. Thanks I fixed it.
Mr. Yamatsuka is the blacksmith for these. Never met him.

Re: Typographical errors on the site.
There are two typos in the first paragraph of the description for the Sakai White #2 Yanagiba 210mm.
The first sentence reads “The yanagiba is in of the three basic...”. I believe the fourth word “in” should be “one”.
The end of the third sentence reads, “...using most of acknowledged cutting styles.”. I believe there is a missing “the” before before “acknowledged”.

On the Konosuke SKD Tsuchime Gyuto 210mm Laurel you say this
Did you mean refer instead of prefer? So, some people prefer to it a semi stainless.
You can blame Mr. Suburban for my being here.

On the Saji G3 Ginsan Gyuto 210mm
The written description says it has a "...octagonal rosewood handle with black pakka wood ferrule..." but in the bullet points below this description it says "Ferrule: Buffalo Horn". I'm new to all this knife stuff, but I don't think that "buffalo horn" = "black pakka wood." But what do I know?

Re: Typographical errors on the site.
Thanks,
I think it's blue #2 steel but I'll check and make sure. If it is I'll fix it in the copy.

Under the Nigara Blue #2 Honyaki Gyuto 280mm offering you wrote
...their top blacksmith that made this Blue #2 steel honyaki gyuto in the most popular 240mm size.
The size is, however, 280 (!) mm

Re: Typographical errors on the site.
In the description for the Shibata Kotetsu R-2 Petty 80mm the last paragraph says
The problem is that there is no photo with a carrot. The 4th photo is the choil shot. I believe that the text should have been removed when the carrot photo was removed. If you look at the 4th photo you can see a carrot sliced on the right was cut by a good, but ordinary, kitchen knife. The slice on the left was cut by a Shibata Kotetsu.
