Last year was full of some pretty huge life changes..lets call it a "rebuilding" year ...knife making is back on track albeit with less hours that I can put in than in the past.

First knife of the year...I failed to take a real picture but here is what Ive got. This went out the end of January.

I am wrapping up a few details on this one:

Looks great Time. I bet it has a nice thick tip.

Still pretty thin , but this one does not have nearly as much distal taper as most of mine.

Here are knives 3 and 4 for 2020. These are very simple knives; a nice change from my most recent projects. I love how the convexed geometry turned out. these are "do it all" grinds in JT's 15n20 recycled bandsaw steel. Very tough, easy to sharpen high carbon steel.

EDIT

Newest one wrapped up and off to its home. This one has quite an interesting feel to it. Steel is Mike Norris Stainless damascus with an XHP steel Core. The cladding is a mix of SS steels and is fully hardened, this blade will feel like a mono steel in use.
Handle is Amboyna with an M3 ferrule and alternate ivory spacer. The Saya is Bog Oak. Thanks for looking.

Thank you guys! Ive been talking with Mike Norris about producing me a billet of steel for another of this type of project...Thinking about a high carbon steel core with some mosaic steel for the cladding, just looking for a kindly patron to lay claim. Please let me know if interested.

Here is a protoype In 26c3 I made up for testing. I am thinking I am gonna take it a bit thinner behind edge and clean it up some more but, I will be sending it out on tour so if youd like this knife to make a stop in your kitchen let me know.

My take on the classic French profile.
Materials: 26c3 and 15n20 damascus made by Salem Straub, Copper ferrule, Brazilian Kingwood handle.

This will be available in my webstore 11/14

I love the fullness of your design, complex blade etching, handles are off the hook! I hate plain handles and kurouchi finish. Plus your a MA. Man like myself, it's better when it comes from home. I will be looking for more. Keep up the great work.
