Re: Best way of storing knives long term.
Thats a great idea XexoX! I think wrapping individually will be more effective as it really seals all around the blade. I have found some small width rolls that will allow me to box most of them so I am going ahead with the food sealer. And no oil! I will be so happy when all our stuff is packed and...

Re: Best way of storing knives long term.
Thanks Jeff. It's so interesting how everyone has their own favorite way. I like the no oil to be honest. I've just wrapped 3 of them and have not used the oil so I will continue down that path I think. I just need to get more of the narrow roll material so that I can fit them back in their boxes. I...

Re: Best way of storing knives long term.
I just sealed the first one. It looks great and worked well. But it results in a knife that will not fit into its original box. Not a big deal with just a few but my collection is rather large and I would end up with several shipping boxes full of just empty knife boxes! Not so desirable. Might have...

Re: Best way of storing knives long term.
Great way of looking at the “problem” of collecting Joe. I absolutely fell down the rabbit hole and it became quite an obsession….especially with Konosuke. It didn’t help that for many years I was doing all the product write ups for Mark and took my payment in knives! He certainly did not help me de...

Great selection and the prices are righteous! Then the added generosity of the donation makes this a no brained for anyone wanting some great stones.

I would vote for the Shiro. It’s such a great knife and holds a screaming edge. Looks cool too!

Re: WTS - a few knives to help support #Mauistrong
Hello, I am interested in purchasing the Matsubara bunka but I am wondering if it has a good edge on it because I haven’t learned to sharpen yet and I don’t have any connections in Petaluma, CA (Sonoma County). Also what is pay via “F&F”? Thank you! Jonathan I will sharpen it before it leaves. ...

Re: Best way of storing knives long term.
Actually I think Panama might be a bit less of a knife killer than Maui. Especially as we lived on a very windy beach here so Mr Salty was always a visitor. It rains a lot in Panama but I won’t be getting the salt! But I’m still thinking I might sell off a lot more knives before we leave. Then every...

Re: Best way of storing knives long term.
Thanks mate! I am so excited for my art direction. So many new colors, traditions, costumes and animals. But very little snow in Panama as far as I know. There are a couple of high peaks that can get a light dusting but unlike Maui's Haleakala they never see much snow. But a sandy beach is going to ...
