Re: What did you cook today?
Went with a healthy dinner tonight. Cabbage two ways, potato, cucumber and some bread. https://www.ronniesuburban.com/photos/food/homecooking/reubens/reuben.24.0328.01.plated.jpg Reuben Sandwich on Marble Rye from Loaf Lounge Figured, why not throw a little leftover corned beef and some Jarls...

Re: What did you cook today?
It's a shame that there is so little action in the "what's cookin'?" section in a kitchen knife forum. We should keep a thread running of what we actually cook with all of our fancy knives :D Today's lunch was Ribeye, roasted taters with crispy garlic, pan sauce with gorgonzola, mushrooms...

Re: Baking Much?
This is not a recent project, but I came across it when looking through some old photos on my computer and thought I'd post it. This was a triple layered cake, the last one I got to make in fact, as I can't eat this kind of stuff anymore. Everything was made from scratch, including the two kinds of...

Re: Diamond spray/paste medium
My first post here! I have been buying from cktg for a long time and just today I noticed a forum. I have seen a few videos of diy diamond spray. Seems like most use rubbing alcohol and/or water. What other mediums would be good for suspension? What are they using in the gels and pastes? Any sugges...

Re: I need assistance
Those fraudsters are trying to use your good rep. Looked at in an odd way, it is kinda a compliment. They wouldn't do this with a company that has a bad rep. Doesn't excuse them, or make this easy for you. Best of luck getting this shut down as quickly as possible. And I hope there isn't fallout for...

... That being said, there are Jews who keep a kosher kitchen at home but will be less stringent eating out. Some will eat only dairy food, or only cold dairy or pareve foods that haven’t been prepared in a kosher kitchen. Others don’t keep kosher in the halakhically normative sense but still avoid...

Mark, I’m sorry you are going through this. Have you trademarked your logo and other IP? If you do not currently have a trademark registered, I’d suggest you start that process right away - regardless of what happens here. Trademark and copyright protections are fairly robust. Unfortunately, this p...

There is one of these left. https://s.turbifycdn.com/aah/chefknivestogo/chopper-king-big-tuna-belly-85.png Chopper King Blue #1 Big Tuna 280mm And only $150. How does one sharpen this? Mr. Razor, I'm sure your guess would be better than mine. I'd just send it to Mr. Mark for sharpening.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I thought kosher meant dairy and meat couldn't even be prepared in the same kitchen.Robstreperous wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 4:09 pm ... or observing the kosher rules about not mixing milk and meat then I've got all bases covered. ...

How about Crisp Chicken Schnitzel With Lemony Herb Salad . Modern Chicken Marbella Shoyu Sugar Steak Slow Cooker Chicken Tagine Or just browse here . I should note, I haven't tried these, they just sounded good, no dairy, no pork, no seafood. Maybe fish sauce, but leave that out, if you like.

Hmmm, how about a slow roasted Prime Rib, with a blast at the end? It could rest while you attended the Hors d'oeuvres and the oven brought up to 500 F. Make ahead mashed taters (the ones I made a few years back had sour cream and cream cheese in them and reheated very well) and a veggie?

Re: The Kekoa TJ Custom Knife Log
Unfortunately we were in a bit of a hurry and the fam was wanting to get back to a St. Louis soccer game on TV so I had to enlist some help with the onions and potatoes while I handled the chicken. I'm the one least bothered by raw meat handling so I only got to spend time with my Dexter boning kni...
